Reaching for a Bead Head Copper John Nymph – 2 Pack just may be the solution fishing in fast water, especially where stoneflies and mayflies are present and the trout have less time to study the fly. The split tail especially imitates that of a stonefly. The Copper John is a cross between a brassie and a pheasant tail and is a pattern attributed to John Barr. With the bead head, it sinks fast and reflects light; the bead head can also appear as the air bubble that many nymphs depend upon to ride to the surface. This nymph pattern has proven effective all over the country and in lakes and ponds, too. A larger Bead Head Copper John nymph works well as a lead-in fly to an egg pattern when fishing for steelhead, and the smaller sizes have proven their worth when the steelie runs are low and clear. Many fly anglers wouldn’t dream of leaving their homes without at least one in their fly box. Pick up at least one pair (but get more sizes and colors) with this Bead Head Copper John Nymph – 2 Pack!
