The key to using the Montana is one thing: letting out more line slack (loosening the line tension). Please keep this in mind while using it. Thanks to its slim silhouette and perfect weight balance, the Montana series offers not only a bubble swim action but also a rising slide action that occurs in a neutral state using the line slack. This rising slide action is the true essence of the Montana series. Moving it beautifully = (does not equal) catching fish. First, try using it with a short pitch while being conscious of letting out line slack. Hiramasa (Yellowtail) will show a reaction regardless of size.

While there is a recommended hook, the design is made to accommodate various hook balances. Please adjust according to the angler’s rod and line being used.
