New for 2024!
Cajun Pro-stafferKyle Brandstatt had this to say about the NEW Savannah Elite:
“(The 843 Savannah Elite) is more sensitive, due to the faster tip recoil, and it hits backbone much faster than the regular Savannah 843. In my opinion this rod is the missing link Ive wanted in the Savannah series. The Savannah Elite 843 falls perfectly in power range between the Savannah 844 and Savannah 843!
For me, the Savannah Elite 843-1S (spinning), is perfect for power finesse fishing. I paired the Savannah Elite 843-1S with a 3000 size spinning reel, spooled with 20lb. braided mainline. I would then tie a 10lb. – 15lb. monofilament leader depending on the type of lures (listed below) and cover I was fishing. This setup affords me the ability to make long casts across flats with a wide range of lure weights, while also being sensitive enough to count rocks at the tail end of those bomber casts. This actually lead to me catching my personal best Saugeye.
After fishing with this rod for several months and catching numerous fish, Ive found that my favorite techniques with the Savannah Elite 843-1S is; cracking tubes in open water, power shotting standing timber and skipping weightless Texas Rigs around shallow cover.”
