When it comes to separating itself from other fishing reels, the Shimano Sedona FI does it boldly. Shimano put their state-of-the-art technology into this reel. The HAGANE gear allows for the Sedona to last longer and provide a smoothness and durability like no other. All model reels have a powerful drag system and increased gear ratios. The 8000 model incorporates Shimanos tougher Cross Carbon Drag. This system allows the Sedona to stand up to the rigorous pressure when battling large game fish. Also, the Sedona FI has an enhanced spool design featuring the Propulsion Line Management System for increased casting distance. The G-Free body shifts the reels center of gravity closer to the rod, translating to less fatigue during long days on the water as well as enhanced casting or jigging comfort.
